기술도 중요하지만, 일단 사람이 많다는 것. 2008명을 10개월 동안 달달 볶으면서 준비했다고 해도 CG몇분 작업하는 비용 이하에서 다 해결되지 않았겠나 싶네요. 재미있게 봤었는데, 좀 씁쓸함이 있음.

개막식 잘 보셨는지 모르겠습니다. 일단 LED 스크린이 주인공이었던 것 같고, 그냥 들리는 사운드의 딜레이가 적은 것으로
봐서는 상당히 설계를 잘 한것 같습니다. 위 그림 천정에 보이는 라인어레이는 중국산일겁니다. 그렇게 한다고 들었습니다.
수영장이나 다른 12개 경기장은 Harman 그룹이 한것 같고, 주 경기장의 기본 메니지먼트는 Toa제품이라고 합니다.
2008명의 퍼포머가 대단하더군요. Robotic하게 해서 컴퓨터로 제어하는 것이 훨씬 좋을 것 같은 '활자' 쑈도 사람들이
다 해버리고,, 중간에 LED판 몇 장 에러난게 눈에 거슬렸지만,,, 그건 직업병인거고,
객석 중간에 대형 프로젝터(대략 보기엔 Christie나 Barco같던데,,)가 상당히 많이 있더군요.

Displays Dynamic Visual Effects for Opening Ceremony
BEIJING, Aug 08, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Christie, a global leader in visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, is pleased to announce the Christie Roadster S+20K and Christie CP2000-ZX models were selected to project dynamic visuals for the opening ceremony at the 2008 Beijing Summer Games. "This is the first time that we have used such a massive number of projectors for the opening ceremony - a combination of approximately 150 Christie Roadster S+20K and Christie CP2000-ZX models, with brightness levels up to 20,000 ANSI lumens," comments Sha Xiaolan, chief lighting designer, Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremony Committee. "As the projected visuals played a pivotal role in the opening ceremony, the visual solution was also the most extensive and complicated in the history of the Games. Christie projectors maintained their excellent performance and reliability from day one of the rehearsal, right through to the live event."
The three-and-a-half-hour opening ceremony included four parts: opening addresses; performances; entrance of athletes; and lighting of the main flame. Centered on the theme of "Civilization and Harmony," the extravagant performances were designed by renowned film director, Zhang Yimou, and aimed to convey the "conception of harmony from an international perspective." In order to uphold the artistic integrity and complex design elements for the show, the projection technology needed to endure rugged use, as well as high temperature and humidity levels.
Working together with Wincom Technology Development Co., Ltd., one of Christie's most valued and prominent Business Products partner in China, 84 Christie Roadster S+20K 3-chip DLP(R) projectors were provided for the spectator area in the newly-constructed Beijing National Stadium. These incredibly bright projectors, outputting 20,000 ANSI lumens, are the de facto standard for rental/staging with a rugged design for durability and ease of operation.
Adding another creative element to this spectacular event, Christie partnered with Beijing Time Antaeus Media Tech. Co., Ltd., to provide 63 Christie CP2000-ZX models for the ceremonies - the brightest all-in-one digital cinema projector in its class. The unique performance using Christie's acclaimed DLP Cinema(R) projectors, was the first-of-its-kind and illustrated the flexibility of Christie's range of visual solutions. Following the ceremonies, the projectors will be deployed in theaters across China, as the country continues to expand its conversion from film to digital.

The technical team also spent more than two months on-site at the Beijing National Stadium working with the visual department daily on the installation and fine-tuning prior to the Games.

저희 집(창고)은 공중파가 잡히지 않아서 감동을 느낄 수가 없었습니다...... 접시를 달까 말까 심각하게 고민했었습니다...
여담입니다만...88년도 당시에는 ALTEC A7류의 스피커를 잠실 운동장에 사용했었다고 합니다... (인클로져는 국내에서 제작을 했다고 하구요...) 올림픽 끝나고... 엄청난 양의 ALTEC이 불용장비로 나왔었다고 하더군요... 그 당시에는 지금같은 영상쑈는 거의 없었던 거 같내요...

이 장면은 올림픽 주경기장에서 불꽃놀이가 시작돼 경기장 하늘을 수놓은 뒤 다시 천안문 광장 주변에서 일정 거리를 간격으로 불꽃놀이가 연결돼 벌어지는 장면이다.
당시 경기장에 있던 관중들은 경기장 밖에서 이어진 것으로 보여진 불꽃놀이를 경기장내 대형 TV화면으로 봐야 했으며, 이 장면은 중계시 전세계 TV시청자들에게 보여져 일부의 탄성을 자아냈었다.
